"Ohene" is the “Data Controller” of your personal information that is processed in connection with this Privacy Policy. Ohene encompasses a range of companies who provide payments solutions and related services to individuals and legal entities. For the purposes of the applicable data protections laws, "Ohene" is the data controller of your personal data unless otherwise specified. The "Ohene" entity responsibilities for your data may depend on your location and the service you use with us.

2. The data we collect about you

We collect information about you in three ways: (i) when you provide it to us directly, (ii) when we gather information while you are using our services, and (iii) when we collect information from other sources. Please note that the personal data we collect, and process depend on the KYC levels.

Below is a description of the types of information that we may receive directly from you.

“Identity Data” includes first name, last name, username, identification number, email address, address and telephone numbers.
“Technical Data” includes information we obtain from your device or browser (such as IP address, your login data, version and device identifiers, time zone setting and location (where permitted), browser plug-in types and versions and operating system) as well as how you use our website. We may automatically collect Technical and Usage Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using server logs and other similar technologies. We may also receive data about you if you visit other websites employing our cookies. We collect passwords and login date that you use on our Website and application. We collect details of authentication of device for purposes of Strong Customer Authentication such as SMS OTP and TOTP. Exceptionally we collect TAN and other security elements, including biometric elements such as Face-identification for payment authorisation and authentication.
“Customer Due Diligence Data” includes any such information that we may need to comply with anti-money laundering or similar legislation, such as identification documents (identity cards, passports or equivalent), pictures of yourself or other information that we may be required to collect to verify your identity.
"One time password or OTP" - is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, on a computer system or other digital device. OTPs avoid several shortcomings that are associated with traditional (static) password-based authentication; a number of implementations also incorporate two-factor authentication by ensuring that the one-time password requires access to something a person has (such as a small keyring fob device with the OTP calculator built into it, or a smartcard or specific cellphone) as well as something a person knows (such as a PIN).
"Face or Finger recognition" - methods of biometric identification, both fingerprint identification (also called touch ID) and face recognition (or face ID) use unique physical characteristics of a person to verify their identity.
"Passcode" - a string of characters used as a password to gain access to "Ohene" mobile application and is set-up by a Customer.

3. Purpose for which we will use a Customer personal data

We have set out below, a description of all the purposes for which we will process your personal data.

If you are a legal one, to register you as a new customer.
If you are using our Services, to facilitate a transaction or to help you track settlements and monitor transactions in real-time.
If you are a legal entity, to manage our arrangement with you, including: (a) managing payments, fees and charges; (b) collecting and recovering money owed to us.
to provide the live chat function on our website or in the mobile app to answer any enquiries from users regarding our services.
if you opt to submit personal data to engage in an offer, program, or promotion, we use the personal data you provide to manage the offer, program, or promotion.
to deliver relevant website content and advertisements to you and measure or understand the effectiveness of the advertising we serve to you.
to use data analytics to improve our website, our services, marketing, customer relationships and experiences.
to make suggestions and recommendations to you about our services that may be of interest to you.
to comply with laws and to respond to and comply with requests from the government, regulators and other third parties with legal authority, including but not limited to: anti-money laundering, fraud, anti-terrorism, anti-slavery or similar legislations.

We will only process your personal data for the purposes specified above unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason which is compatible with the original purpose. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and explain to you the legal basis which allows us to do so.

Our services are not directed to people under the age of 18 (eighteen), and we request that they do not provide personal data to seek services directly from "Ohene". In certain countries, we may impose different age limits as required by applicable law.

4. Situations when a customer may authorise "Ohene" to collect data about a customer

‍

To make the process of using "Ohene" mobile application more convenient, a customer's personal information may be collected and used in the following additional settings (see below). If you do not provide it, it will not affect the use of the mobile application, but you will not be able to use some peculiar operations.

4.1. Authorisation in product

In order to log into "Ohene" a Customer can choose the facial or finger recognition login service, OTP or Passcode.

The Customer must request for their facial images or video to verify their identity. If you do not agree to provide the information above, you can also choose to log in with the passcode, OTP via SMS and other available ways..

4.2. Read and subscribe storage permissions

When installing the mobile application, a customer will be asked for this permission. The objective is to ensure the stable operation of the mobile application. The mobile application will read a store the necessary information.

4.3. Enabling Location Services

Only location information will be collected at that time and the Customer's location will not be tracked. After activating the location service, the Customer will be able to directly obtain their location information.

4.4. Camera access permission

The Customer can use the camera to scan, take photos directly and upload them to share. If facial recognition is required, the Customer will need to turn on the camera for this purpose.

4.5. Album access permission

By opening the album access permission function, the Customer can directly select the photos or images on their mobile phone to comment or provide evidence to the Customer service about the purchased products.

4.6. Contact list access permission

When the Customer recharges his cell phone and fills in the contact information, he will be able to use the information in the contact list. After opening and giving this permission, the Customer will be able to directly select and import the selected contact information from the contact list. Only selected contact information will be loaded.

4.7. Calendar access permission

When using the calendar function, the Customer will need to open this function when setting the reminder function based on the system calendar for important matters.

4.8. Enabling Microphone Permissions

Customer can use voice assistant search to find specific services or implement voice communication when communicating with Customer service. After choosing, activating permissions, if the Customer clicks the voice button to record sound, their voice content will be collected for the necessary processing.

If you do not provide this personal information, it will not affect the use of the application, but the Customer may not be able to use specific functions or will have to manually fill in some repetitive information.

5. Where we store your personal data

Our operations are supported by a network of computers, servers, other infrastructure and information technology, and third-party service providers. We and our third-party service providers and business partners store and process your personal data in the European Union and at the territory of the country of the product operation. Courts, law enforcement and security agencies of these jurisdictions may be able to use legal processes to access your personal data.

6. How long we retain your information

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including the purpose of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the relevant laws, amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes.

Even after we stop providing services directly to you, we may continue to retain your personal data to: (1) comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; (2) enable fraud monitoring, detection, and prevention activities; and (3) comply with our tax, accounting and financial reporting obligations.

Data security is extremely important to us, and we have put in place appropriate security measures (such as encryption, confidentiality obligations of our personnel, log-in records, vulnerability testing etc,) to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
